“Top Five Shittiest Mayors in New York City’s History” candidate Rudy Giuliani is acting a lot like the coward he is these days. After boasting on Fox News about how he was tapped by bigot-in-chief Donald Trump to come up with a “legal” way to ban an entire religion from entering our country, Giuliani is slinking away from that statement. Giuliani’s braggadocio seems to have dissipated after a federal judge ordered him to disclose the memo Giuliani was boasting about. Now, Rudy doesn’t want to be a big boy, he wants to be a quiet, disappearing boy.
“Neither I nor my firm has represented the Trump Administration. In particular I have not served on any Trump administration commission ‘relating to the so-called Muslim Ban Executive Orders.’ For clarity, I have not participated in writing any of the Executive Orders on that subject issued by the Trump administration,” Giuliani wrote in the affidavit, which he filed in a Manhattan-based federal court.
Here’s a refresher of what Big Man on Campus Giuliani said a couple of months ago.
"I’ll tell you the whole history of it: When he first announced it, he said ‘Muslim ban,'" Giuliani said on Fox News.
"He called me up, he said, ‘Put a commission together, show me the right way to do it legally.’"
Giuliani said he then put together a commission that included lawmakers and expert lawyers.
"And what we did was we focused on, instead of religion, danger," Giuliani said.
In Giuliani’s defense, he’s looking at needing a presidential pardon sooner than later as things heat up in regards to his role in an alleged money-laundering Turkish/Iranian sanctioned banking scheme. Par for the Mar-a-Lago course these days.
