“Trump is being attacked, the memo says, because he represents “an existential threat to cultural Marxist memes that dominate the prevailing cultural narrative.” Those threatened by Trump include “‘deep state’ actors, globalists, bankers, Islamists, and establishment Republicans.”
The author of the memo, Rich Higgins, was fired by McMasters - who was accused of complicity in the feverishly imagined plot - after the memo was discovered on Higgins’ PC.
Trump had a sad about the firing because he enjoyed Higgins’ fiction, in which he was the embattled Hero.

But the real news here is that Don Jr. was an addressee of the NSC memo, which would of course be classified…
