White supremacist Richard Spencer tried to do some damage control after his fellow fascists failed to take over Charlottesville, Virginia, but local establishments won’t let him. As businesses continue to denounce the racist violence, white supremacists and affiliated groups are finding they are increasingly not welcome—as employees, users, or even paying customers. Spencer tried to hold a press conference today in Washington, DC, but after two hotel cancellations he had to settle for his office in Virginia instead. Check out the pitiful sight, courtesy of HuffPost reporter Dana Liebelson.
Why is there a pile of books behind him? Why are they meeting next to the kitchen? What’s up with that TV? Clearly, he wasn’t prepared for this—and the reporters noticed.
Thanks for the guilt-free schadenfreude, Spencer.
