This diary is not about the president’s hands. It’s a story about how the really rich have no idea how the rest of us live in the real world.
This morning in Florida, President Trump and Melanie Trump were getting ready to pass out white plastic plates of cake (or was it cornbread?) to victims. To his right were VP Pence and Florida Governor Scott passing out bananas. Melanie Trump had already gloved up, but the president was having difficulty putting on his gloves. Another person, a man, had to help him with the first latex glove and then the second.
Truth be told, I have no idea what was going on as the president tried to put his latex gloves on. I do remember his attempt to load a pickup truck during the visit to Texas. He tried to put a bucket through the window of the cab (and yes a man was in the driver’s seat) instead of the cargo flatbed.
The point is this. These billionaires have no idea how the rest of us live. For example, if they had ever had a serious worry about healthcare, there would be no problem getting healthcare for everyone.
Trump can’t load a pickup truck or put on latex gloves. Who cares. Well, probably no one. All it says is these millionaires and billionaires deciding policy for the rest of us hundreds of millions, have no clue what our lives are like.
