As you know, Senator Bill Cassidy lied to Jimmy Kimmel’s face about a very important subject: The health of his child. Cassidy is the co-author of the Graham/Cassidy Bill that would turn our health care system into fifty state-run death panels. They will be especially deathy in the South. That makes me angry. That makes me sick, again, of Republican hypocrisy and group sociopathy.
But, what makes me call the offices of Senators and write letters and tweets are the responses to Jimmy Kimmel’s message. Here are a few:
This is the Twitter home page of that sweet child’s mom:
This is just a few of the responses. I truly believe that a Republican who supports this Bill is so lacking in compassion and empathy that there is a pathological problem. I’m not a Doctor, so I cannot formally diagnose. I just want people to be able to see Doctors.
Now, you know what to do:
Call (202) 224-3121. It is after hours, so I didn’t speak to any of my Senators. I was able to leave messages for a number of Tim Scott’s aides. His “general” mailbox was full. There will be actual people manning those phones tomorrow.
Email. Senator Cassidy has an email contact page. The last selection on that initial menu asks you to share your opinions about bills in Congress. Then, you have to fill out some personal information. I did that and left this message: “Vote no on your own bill. That is the only human thing to do.” Here’s that link:

Resistbot. I’ve been doing this for some time now. Very simple. Text Resist to 50409, and they will get back to you with instructions. You give them your name and address, and they will send the message that you type into your phone. Here it is:
What you plan to do. Tell everybody what you plan to do in a comment. Let us know specific phone numbers and email addresses. When will you be marching? Also, “Jimmy Kimmel” is trending on Twitter and can use your response there. Thank you!
