Speaker Paul Ryan sat down to speak with the New York Times on Thursday morning. The video was live-streamed on YouTube. The conversation ranged from Donald Trump to tax reform to wage growth, and the Wisconsin Republican gave all of the baseless, fact-free answers one expects. Around the 45 minute mark in the video below, “Policy wonk” Paul Ryan is asked what the minimum wage in Wisconsin is. He thinks it’s “seven … “
… and then someone in the front row gives him the “twenty-five.” That’s because the minimum wage in Wisconsin is $7.25. And that’s the Republican representative from Wisconsin who doesn’t believe in raising the minimum wage, and likes to talk about working at McDonald’s when he was 16 years old, who doesn’t know what the minimum wage is that he thinks is “good enough.”
What a dick.
