There are more Democrats than Republicans in America, but Republicans control all branches of government today primarily because of these two reasons:
1. Republicans are incredibly adept at cheating — Republicans are ruthless and immoral when it comes on to power. They will generally do anything it takes to win. Knowing that they don’t have the numbers to support their hold on power, they indulge in elaborate mechanisms to exploit and subvert the democratic process. This includes the gerrymandering of electoral districts at the state and federal level to give their candidates an unfair advantage in every election, the purging of voter rolls and implementation of laws to severely restrict or suppress democratic votes, the stealing of an open Supreme Court seat from a democratically elected President, even colluding with a hostile foreign power, Яussia, to force a madman into the White House against the will of the majority of Americans; all these among many other atrocities.
There is really nothing out of bounds for Republicans in their hungry quest for power. Innocent Democrats – who traditionally try to play by the rules – have been outfoxed at every turn by their cheating right-wing counterparts.
2. Naive and clueless Democrats continue to abandon their constitutional right to vote — millions of Democrats have allowed Republicans to walk over them like doormats by failing to participate actively in all elections. Because Republicans always show up and vote, they’ve been able to punch above their weight in government and even force Democrats – who are truly the majority – to bow to their will. In other words, Republicans have been able to make Democrats their bitch by simply showing up and voting in all elections.
This, my friends, explains the political situation in America today. Thanks for your attention. 🙂
