During this last election cycle, perhaps the incredulity we all felt with the weird convergence of performances (Russia/nyt/email/wiki/and especially the last two mind-numbing weeks featuring the public tarring and feathering of Hillary Clinton by the FBI) leads me to pose this broader and possibly momentous question:
Was there a golpe de estado (howsoever slow) functioning in the 2016 election--a vortex of disparate actors whose strange attractor was Donald J. Trump?
