A new wave of Democratic candidates just got a big boost, as former President Barack Obama announced a new round of endorsements of a whopping 260 candidates. Obama’s endorsements range from exciting progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Andrew Gillum to candidates like Arizona Rep. Kyrsten Sinema. “Our incredible array of candidates up and down the ticket, all across the country, make up a movement of citizens who are younger, more diverse, more female than ever before,” Obama said in a statement accompanying the endorsements.
Of particular interest, Obama, who has been criticized for not working enough to strengthen the Democratic Party as president, noted that he focused on state legislative and/or statewide races that are redistricting priorities.
Nearly two dozen of the candidates from these new endorsements and Obama's first round overlap with Daily Kos endorsements.
Can you help Democrats gain redistricting leverage by giving just $1 each to these state-level candidates?
