Apologies to all if someone has already covered this (I’ll remove the diary if it's redundant,) but a quick site search didn’t turn up anything about it, and I thought it might be a good idea to pass it along.
Greg Palast sent this information out via e-mail today:
Nevada’s Republican Secretary of State, Barbara K. Cegavske, on Thursday turned over the list of every Nevada voter whose registration Cegavske cancelled in 2016 and 2017.
If you’re in Nevada, or know anyone in Nevada, please, please check the purge hit-list. If you’re a victim, you still have until Thursday, October 18 to re-register online.
Some 90,000 names were apparently purged based on ‘Crosscheck’ information and postcard mailings.
Palast also requests that anyone who finds their name on the list of purged voters contact his organization. Whether to do so would of course be up to the individual, but if you live in one of those parts of Nevada, it may be worth taking a moment to check whether your name is on the list.
ETA: For those concerned about the veracity of the source, I didn’t post this because it came from Greg Palast, I posted it because I’ve seen so much criticism of the Crosscheck program and these postcard mailings from various other sources, including some here at Daily Kos. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to suggest that those who could be affected may want to take a moment to double-check that they weren’t incorrectly removed from the rolls, while they still have a chance to re-register if they need to.
