Hi! There’s another $100 match for the Walk today — and for people who raise over $250, there’s a chance to win a pair of wristbands to 2019 South By Southwest. Now, I can only use one of those. So — if I raise over $250, and if I win the wristbands, everyone who donates today will be in a drawing that I will do for the other one. So — please donate at my AIDS Walk page if you can.
Here’s what your money does:
A $50 donation will cover the cost of a client's co-pay at the Jack Sansing Dental Clinic that specializes in dental care for HIV+ people in the community.
A $100 donation means that AIDS Services of Austin's Helping Hands Food Bank can provide over 6 bags of groceries to clients in the community.
A $200 donation could mean that 8 people in the community receive harm reduction kits and lower their risk of spreading or transmitting HIV.
And there is also a tiny chance that we could go to SXSW together next spring. If I raise over $250 today, and if I win the drawing, and if you win the other drawing. (and if I then don’t donate my wristband to raise money for the AIDS Ride I’ll be ding next spring)
