A quick look at Donald Trump’s final campaign itinerary tells you two things about the House: the White House likely thinks it’s a lost cause, and Trump probably can’t do anyone any good in important swing races anyway. Trump plans to scrap visits to critical House districts altogether and focus his final 11 rallies in eight states where he hopes to help shore up the Senate and give a boost to some GOP gubernatorial candidates, writes Bloomberg.
The White House has grown particularly nervous in recent days about the Senate races in Florida, Missouri and Arizona -- states that a month ago they were confident Republicans would win, said an outside adviser.
Don’t look for Trump to stop through many suburbs or even the Midwestern states that gave him the edge in 2016 like Michigan, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin. His final week will mostly center around red states and areas where he hopefully won’t be a drag on any GOP House candidates: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
