I am a former prosecutor who tried a case where a father killed his 2-year-old daughter and his es-wife.  The amount of destruction this will cause in people’s lives will last generations.  The brothers and sisters will be profoundly hurt, and that hurt will find its way into every significant relationship that they have. 

The destruction wrought will find its way into generations far removed from the event.

And there is no goddam reason for it.
