At the end of April, I’m doing the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, which benefits local agencies that help people dealing with HIV & AIDS. These groups directly help people with things like a food bank, discounted meds, a dental clinic, and of course, prevention & education.
So it’s St Patrick’s Day, I thought I’d ask for donations of $17 & put some music in my diary. This 1st one isn’t music, but a St Patrick’s Day greeting from my lovely boys way, way back in 1982:
And for something completely different. the Pogues from a St Partick’s Day 1988 show:
and the Dropkick Murphys doing Shipping Up To Boston on St Patrick’s Day 2017:
and the Chieftains, with Irish dancers:
If you want to read about all the great agencies you’ll be helping, here’s the page with that info. And please if you can, donate $17 here at my page.
My best friend died of brain cancer a week ago. These 2 songs have helped my keep it together — California (there is no end to love)
and The Miracle of Joey Ramone (all the stolen voices will someday be returned, the most beautiful sound I ever heard)
So please donate to the Hill Country Ride for AIDS if you can.
