Way back in 2011, adult film actress/director Stormy Daniels (aka Stephanie Cliffords) spilled the beans about her affair with Donald Trump to InTouch Weekly magazine. The interview happened five years before she signed the non-disclosure agreement with Donald Trump just prior to the 2016 election. In February 2018, InTouch published the entire interview, which contained graphic details about her nearly year-long affair with Donald Trump in 2006, who had only wed Melania the year before and was publicly playing the part of the doting father to newborn son Barron. The magazine noted that Stormy Daniels had taken (and passed) a polygraph during the interview process. Now NBC News has the results of that polygraph—and the polygraph examiner determined there is a 99 percent probability she was telling the truth.
The report, prepared by a Las Vegas company called Western Security Consultants, says the purpose of the polygraph examination was to "determine if Ms. Clifford had vaginal intercourse with Donald Trump in July 2006."
The examiner asked her a series of questions, three of which were relevant to the alleged affair:
"Around July 2006, did you have vaginal intercourse with Donald Trump?"
"Around July 2006, did you have unprotected sex with Donald Trump?"
"Did Trump say he would get you on 'The Apprentice'?"
Clifford answered "yes" to all three, according to the report.
The examiner used two methods to analyze the data, according to his report. The first, using an algorithm the report said was developed by Johns Hopkins University, found there was a 1 percent chance of deception for the three answers. A second analysis method found there was adequate evidence Clifford was telling the truth on the first two questions, and it was inconclusive for the third, according to the report.
NBC also obtained a still image of the polygraph being administered to Stormy Daniels. The image appears to be taken from a video, so that video likely still exists. InTouch initially backed off the story in 2011 after Trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen, threatened legal action. The polygraph examiner’s declaration can be read here.
But wait … there’s more!
Donald Trump is facing another lawsuit relating to his lecherous behavior as former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal is suing to tell her own story of an affair with a married Donald Trump. She sold her story to America Media Inc. (owner of the National Enquirer), which promptly buried the story for their buddy, Donald Trump.
Ms. McDougal, in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that Mr. Cohen was secretly involved in her talks with A.M.I., and that the media company and her lawyer at the time misled her about the deal. She also asserts that after she spoke with The New Yorker last month after it obtained notes she kept on Mr. Trump, A.M.I. warned that “any further disclosures would breach Karen’s contract” and “cause considerable monetary damages.”
In an email to The New York Times, her new lawyer, Peter K. Stris, accused A.M.I. of “a multifaceted effort to silence Karen McDougal.”
For what it’s worth, Stormy’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, said they are fielding calls and doing background on six more women who’ve come forward with claims of affairs with Donald Trump. This is about to get a whole lot more messy.
