A couple of notable developments this week. For one thing, a major scandal erupted surround the Trump linked firm Cambridge Analytica. Meanwhile, the administration seems to have continue on with its push towards protectionism. The announcement of $50bn in tariffs on Chinese goods sent the Dow tumbling more than 700 points. The prospects of a trade war, taken along with the Fed’s move to raise interest rates this week, seems to make a recession this year just that much more likely.
