Embattled Missouri Governor Greitens has taken his fight with his own party to a whole new level, as this afternoon, Governor Greitens decided to take out a restraining order on fellow party member and current candidate for US Senate Josh Hawley.
During the election cycle, Gov. Greitens had donated $48k to Josh Hawley, hoping to help him win and take the seat he now holds as Attorney General. Then, at the end of March, Greitens spent $50,000 to defend his record against the scandal that engulfs Jefferson City.
Now, this court battle.

Gov. Eric Greitens’ attorneys have asked a Cole County judge to issue a restraining order blocking Attorney General Josh Hawley from investigating the governor.
The motion was filed the night before Hawley announced that his office had uncovered “potentially criminal acts” committed by Greitens regarding his use of a charity’s donor list to benefit his 2016 gubernatorial campaign. He turned over the evidence to the St. Louis prosecutor to consider criminal charges, which he said could be a felony.
Where the Governor is demanding the Attorney General not do his job.
No word yet on the cost he expects to be left with after his fallout with a friend, but the relationship has certainly proven costly, and it could be said with great confidence: they are no longer BFFs.
