The one good thing about being on disability, if there can be said to be such a thing, is now I have time to read books that I have had piling up in boxes on top of boxes.
I thought I’d write a diary where people could make suggestions for those of us who enjoy reading novels for new suggestions.
I cannot say enough good things about the British author Ruth Ware.
So far she has 3 suspense/mystery novels out...all best sellers and in my view great works as if Christie had been reincarnated.
I started off reading “The Woman in Cabin Ten” while I was in the hospital. It was so good I recommended it to rotating doctors who made up my team and ended up giving my copy to one of them to read. It is a suspense novel about a missing (?) murdered (?) lady in a train. I then read “In a Dark Dark Wood” and just finished “The Lying Game” all great novels. If you’re looking for a fast but good suspense read I strongly suggest you pick up on of her novels. She has a new one coming out in May which I am eager to read.
Today I just started a Crichton novel (I’ve never read one of his books before, but so far “Airframe” seems promising.
How about you? Have you just finished a novel or read works from a single author that you would suggest to others looking to pick up a new book?
