Rosebuddear is experiencing severe pain from an injury and it may be awhile before she can get an appointment at the VA for help. The other day, the pain was so intense, so overwhelming, she called out to the community for emotional support. That is exactly what community quilts are for, emotional support for facing illness or other hardship from the community for someone who needs it. We all love Rosebuddear!
So let’s come together and tell this dear woman how fond we are of her, how we want her to feel free of pain, free to do the things she wants without worry. Leave a loving, supportive message for Rosebuddear in the comments below. I will pick it up, give you a {{{{hug}}}} to let you know I have it, and I will later transcribe your words in archival ink on muslin. Heat set for permanence, your words will become an integral part of Rosebuddear’s quilt. She will be able to wrap herself in community love whenever she needs a lift or an extra bit of comfort.
It takes lots of time and material to make a community quilt and it is a living for me and my sister. If you would like to contribute toward the cost of this quilt, here is a PayPal link — or message me for an address should you prefer a check. $20/message is suggested by no worries if you cannot afford to donate. We still want your message! This is a crowdfunded thing and some always give more to cover messages for those who are short on funds.
Please note, if you leave a message in PayPal or somewhere other than the comments below, please Kos Mail me to make sure I pick it up.
Check here for a list of our completed quilts. There have been 154 to date.

We are at work on MaureenMower’s quilt — hope to have her quilt top done within the week. (All I will reveal about it at this point is that here will by unicorns.) BeadLady has graciously offered to quilt it so as to give my sister a little more time to heal from procedures for her heart attacks.
This next week, I will also put up a quilt diary for Eclectablog who will be having surgery in May.
