Republicans will reportedly be meeting with President Trump Tuesday evening to “confront” him on his new policy of kidnapping and caging children.
It may well be that they have seen these polls too:
First, IPSOS
Poll: Majority opposes policy of separating families at border
According to the poll, conducted for the Daily Beast by Ipsos, 56 percent of those surveyed did not agree it is “appropriate” to remove children from their parents at the border.
Only 27 percent of respondents said they agreed with the policy.
The results were notably split along party lines. Of those surveyed who identify as Republicans, 46 percent said they support the separations while 32 percent said they did not.
………….…….only 29% of Independents were in favor.
The survey of approximately 1,000 individuals was conducted from June 14-15 and had a credibility interval of 3.5 percentage points.
Though we may wish it was higher than 56%, notice that Trump has support from only 59% of REPUBLICANS
And Quinnipiac? Complete breakdown here
American voters oppose by 66 percent to 27 percent Team Trump’s policy of separating children and parents when families illegally cross the border into the US, a Quinnipiac University poll released Monday said.
But Republicans overwhelmingly support the policy by 55 percent to 35 percent, the only group to back it.
American voters also support by 79 to 15 percent allowing immigrants who were brought to the US as children, the so-called “Dreamers,” to remain and ultimately to apply for citizenship.
And voters oppose by 58 percent to 39 percent building a wall along the border with Mexico.
Since when was a 55/35 poll on Repulicans “overwhelming? Since it’s reported in the NYPost!
And look at those numbers on the BORDER WALL!!!!!
Here’s a Reader’s Poll from the Victoria Advocate
The Victoria Advocate is a daily newspaper independently published in Victoria, Texas. It is the second oldest paper in Texas and the oldest west of the Colorado River, dating back to May 8, 1846,
The Vindicator
The Vindicator, also known at times as the Youngstown Vindicator, is a daily newspaper serving Youngstown, Ohio
Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Blast Family Separations at Border
Same Quinnipiac poll from above. But NEWSMAX is reposting it with THAT HEADLINE?!??!?
"When does public opinion become a demand that politicians just can't ignore? Two- thirds of American voters oppose the family separation policy at our borders," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
"Neither quotes from the Bible nor get-tough talk can soften the images of crying children nor reverse the pain so many Americans feel."
"And if you are a Dreamer, voters say, 'We have your back,'" Malloy added.
NewsOK (The Oklahoman) Readers’ Poll
Reader poll: Do you support the policy of separating children from parents at the border?
It appears that IPSOS and Quinnipiac are the only two recent polls out, but ALL headlines in the internet (and I’m sure of every local newspaper) is OPPOSITION to this horrid policy.
As I graze through the nation’s front pages, I see this headline most often
Nobody Likes Splitting Families
This line is straight from the White House. And it appears to be used against them. People walking by newspaper stands will only see that line.
