UPDATE: And here we go:
The “co-president” of Fox News has been looking for a place to land, as his future at the company—from a PR standing—is dubious at best. Where does a guy that is too toxic for Fox News and its’ insanely scandalous history of sexual assault and impropriety go? Right into the White House, apparently. According to Fox News White House correspondent John Roberts, Fox News is about to have an even more powerful presence in the government.
According to the New York Times, Trump has already made the offer to Shine and the announcement is imminent. It is important to note that Bill Shine wasn’t on the outs at Fox News because of his “politics,” or because his employers thought he did a bad job. He needed to leave to create the facade that Fox News is cleaning up their act. That act included former boss and chum Roger Aisles and his numerous allegations of not only fostering the grossest misogynistic working environment ever, but also being a predator in the very same space.
To top it off, they didn’t even get rid of him beforehand to give the illusion that this move is anything more than a fusion of Fox as the state propaganda apparatus.
Make this day go away.
