Built in 1886, Grey Towers is the Pennsylvania summer estate of Gifford Pinchot, an early conservationist who served as head of the US Forest Service under President Teddy Roosevelt and two terms as Governor of Pennsylvania. Pinchot donated it to the Forest Service and it is now run as a National Historic Site.
