This week we watched Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984, with Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Ellen Barkin, Jeff Goldblum, Christopher Lloyd, and small role from Jonathan Banks (“Mike” from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul). God, what fun! In the alternate universe I wish I’d followed, BB was a smash hit with multiple sequels while Star Wars is a mostly forgotten cult film.
