Hahahahahahaha [pause for breath] hahahaha:
“I think the Democrats give up when I turn out,” Trump said. “If you want to know the truth, I don’t think it energizes them. I think it de-energizes them. I think they give up when I turn out.”
Yes, Democratic Rep. Conor Lamb was so demoralized when Donald Trump rallied for state Rep. Rick Saccone that Lamb went on to win a deep-red House district.
Is Trump getting the “Trump is attacking us—we need your help” Democratic fundraising emails that go out when he attacks a Democrat and believing that those mean panic rather than the reality of gleefully raking in the small-dollar contributions? This is hilarious.
But you know what? This is one where the New York Times and the rest of them may be right not to call a wildly inaccurate Trump statement a lie: this is massive denial. If he’s lying to anyone it’s himself because admitting how energized Democrats are around beating Trump means that when Republican lose, it’s his own fault.
