More and more pundits are talking about prosecutors going after members of Trump’s family.
Last night on Chris Hayes Elie Mystal, who is the editor of the Above the Law blog, had a great line when talking about whether Trump really cared about protecting his family: "I don't know if Trump has the parental instincts of, like, a mammal."
Whether he cares or not doesn’t matter as much as what would happen if a family member, say Jarod Kushner who, after all, isn’t blood felt in severe enough personal legal jeopardy that he decided to save himself and thus implicated the president.
From listening to AM Joy this morning it also appears that Don Jr. may be in the most legal jeopardy. It has to be noted while pursuing this fantasy, that both Jared and Don Jr. are at risk of being prosecuted in New York.
Of course, this is sheer fantasy on my part and I am not delusional so I realize how remote a possibility this is.
Perhaps this is a flight of fancy caused by an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato I ate for dinner last night.
