Donald Trump's favorite aide of no expertise but many positions, Mick Mulvaney, let an actual truism escape his mouth during a private GOP fundraiser over the weekend, as reported by the New York Times.
“You may hate the president, and there’s a lot of people who do, but they certainly like the way the country is going,” Mr. Mulvaney said, adding of Trump’s divisiveness: “If you figure out a way to subtract from that equation how they feel about the president, the numbers go up dramatically.”

Beyond that, there's no policy doctrine, no ideology, no truth, no facts, no loyalty, no integrity, no intellect, no relevant expertise, no nothing. All Trump has is his personality and, yes, there are a lot of people who do hate him, as basically every recent poll has reminded us (lest you forget!).
