Kavanaugh lied about getting into Yale by merit. His grandfather was an alumn.

Brett Kavanaugh, in his rant a/k/a opening statement on Thursday afternoon, claimed that he had gotten into Yale without family connections and by hard scholastic work.

I have no connections there. I got there by busting my tail.

Oops, that does not seem to be the case.  His grandfather, Everett Edward Kavanaugh, was a Yale graduate.

Kavanaugh even lied about his connections to Yale: “I have no connections there. I got there by busting my tail.”
