Don't be like this April Fool from the 1770s who let some no-goodnik youths tie a kite to his hair
After a merciful two years when the Worst Holiday Ever Invented fell on a weekend, April Fool’s will be on a Monday this year—this coming Monday. That means we’re going to be treated to a lot of garbage online, perhaps more than ever. That’ll likely include fake versions of the Mueller report, as well as whatever trash the troglodytes at 4chan can barf up to try to make liberals who share it look like idiots.
So please, if you’re not able to simply “take the day off” from the internet on Monday, exercise extra-extra caution. If you see something too good to be true, it almost certainly is. That’s the case every day, but even more so on April Fool’s. So, hesitate before you hit “retweet” or “share” or “forward.” Keep a tab open on Snopes. And hunker down with your friends at Daily Kos. It’ll all be over soon. No foolin’.
