Proud Trump supporter James “Doc” Green Senior was detained by police after reportedly violating a no-trespassing order in his attempt to protest a Drag Queen Storytime at Freed-Montrose Library in Houston, Texas over the weekend. In the past, the ban was issued because he allegedly recorded children without permission.
Jodi Silva, a spokesperson for the Houston Police Department, told OutSmart Magazine that Greene entered the library about 15 minutes before the children’s program was scheduled to start. When he refused to leave, a library manager called the police for help.
When he was removed and brought into the parking lot by police, they also confiscated his concealed weapon. After police put him into a police car, Green expressed that he was having chest pains, and was brought to Memorial Hermann hospital via ambulance.
At this point, the district attorney is not pressing charges.
He posted a video documenting some of the situation to his YouTube channel, which you can watch below. It’s called “Arrested for being a Christian,” which communicates a lot, though perhaps not in the way he intended.
The above video has several thousand views, which puts it miles ahead of his other YouTube clips, most of which have less than one hundred views per video. Outside of YouTube, Greene is a conservative radio show host for Raging Elephants Radio. In a broadcast about the incident, he says he was at the hospital for six hours, and that police still had his weapon.
Greene is also active on Facebook, where he posted about the incident, as well:
“How am I trespassing?” Greene asks police in the video. “I want to see the law. How many cops does it take to tell me what the law is?”
“You were given a trespassing warning,” an officer answers. “They have requested you to not be on the property anymore.”
After some back and forth, an officer shows him the affidavit, which states that he was banned from the library last month, and why.
“We have a bunch of homosexuals that are molesting children,” Greene asserted after being removed from the library. “They are doing it with your help.”
(Unsurprisingly, there is no evidence that this is happening.)
The Drag Queen Storytime is a monthly event. For the February event, police will be present.
