Special thanks to my friends at RPG.net for the story title idea. Unfortunately it isn’t an actual name to the title of any of today’s articles, but it is an apt explanation for what’s been happening.
“The Trump administration, which had not anticipated a long-term shutdown, recognized only this week the breadth of the potential impact, several senior administration officials said. The officials said they were focused now on understanding the scope of the consequences and determining whether there is anything they can do to intervene.”
Conservative commentator David Frum summed up the article in the Post by tweeting that “Team Trump was so ready to shut down” the government because “they had no idea” what the government does.
Once again, Trumps moronic move on the shutdown is hurting him because he does not actually know how the Government works well enough to run it. That’s why he’s not going to win this shut down fight.
In sum, there is no emergency and no constitutional authority for Trump to do this on his own. Nevertheless, perhaps the House should pass a resolution declaring that any such action would be unconstitutional, a gross violation of the president’s oath of office and grounds to commence impeachment. The House should also put Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen under oath to testify about the actual number of border crossings, the lack of evidence any terrorist has crossed the southern border, the origins of the inhumane family-separation policy and the conditions under which two migrant children have died. If there is an emergency, it is one caused entirely by Trump’s ignorance, hysteria and vanity.
Yeah, I think Trump knows he’s not going to be in the White House much longer, which is why he’s so desperate to get that precious wall of his made. Tell me Donny, will Prison walls be sufficient?
House Democrats introduced a sweeping bill on Friday as their first order of legislative business that would expand voting rights and curb the influence of money in politics, signaling their commitment to push back on Republican efforts to undermine the democratic process.
Yes, while Trump continues to be a massive pissbaby and the GOP struggle to keep changing his diapers even as he never stops defecating on himself, the Democrats are actually getting things done. Go get em fellas!
"I probably have a generational reaction it, but in any event I'm not in the censorship business," she told Joy Reid at an MSNBC Town Hall on Friday. "I don't like that language, I wouldn't use that language, I don't again establish any language standards for my colleagues. But I don't think it's anything worse than what the president has said."
The House speaker was responding to a question from Reid about Tlalib's assertion that Democrats were "going to impeach the motherf---er," referencing Trump.
Good for Pelosi, and better for Rashida Tlaib for telling it like it is. Also, its always amusing to watch the assholes who put kids in cages and voted for an admitted pussy grabber being offended by someone’s language. Maybe they ought to sit down and shut the fuck up while the big kids work.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders attempted on Sunday to join the ranks of Trump administration officials trotting out bogus statistics in support of President Donald Trump’s border wall demands — but Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace was ready for it.
Fox is still very much Trump TV, lets not be mistaken, but even they are starting to get up with his bullshit. And if Rupert Murdoch decides that its no longer worth his time to prop Trump up, then that will be it for his administration.
