So two associates of Rudy Giuliani, Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas, were arrested at Dulles International Airport last night on campaign finance charges.
True to form, Donald Trump claimed he had no idea who they were. Because while Trump hangs out with lots of shady characters, he’s never friends with them. Why? Because Donald Trump doesn’t have friends. He has co-conspirators and victims.
On Thursday, Trump acknowledged there was a photo with the now-arrested men. But he said he didn't know them and had nothing to do with their alleged crimes.
"I don't know those gentlemen. Now it's possible I have a picture with them because I have a picture with everybody, I have a picture with everybody here," Trump said, adding that someone told him there "may be" a photo with them "at a fundraiser or somewhere, but I have pictures with everybody."
He continued, "I don't know them. I don't know about them. I don't know what they do but I don't know, maybe they were clients of Rudy. You'd have to ask Rudy, I just don't know."
Oh, Rudy. Did you really think Trump would have your back when the shit hit the wind tunnel? That’s adorable.
And, yes, “somehow” Trump correctly predicted that he was in a photo with these characters. But I don’t think it’s because he’s in photos with “everybody.” I think it’s because he’s a crook — who has the world’s best memory except when it comes to all the fraudsters and criminals he’s met on numerous occasions.
So let’s unroll the incriminating tweets, shall we?
Weird, huh?
It’s almost as if Donald Trump isn’t being 100 percent truthful.
Nah, that can’t be it.
Can it?
