I can tell you that I pretty much never know what time it is. There is a weird thing about me and watches, something electromagnetic in my body I suspect. The same thing that makes street lights go out when I drive past them.
I told a therapist about this once and asked her if she thought that was interesting. She said she thought it was very interesting that I thought this was happening. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Even if I did have a watch that worked I wouldn’t pay attention to it. I have a lot of ways to trick myself into being on time. The clock in my car is set 30 minutes ahead. Actually 34 minutes. I am sometimes fooled by the 30 minutes, I’m fooled by those 4 minutes a lot.
The clock in my kitchen is 10 minutes fast. That’s so I can watch my TV shows (analog TV with antenna) on time and it works!
The clock in the bathroom has a mind of it’s own, I think the steam does something to it. I change my bedroom clock on a regular basis to a random time in the future, like an hour and 23 minutes ahead etc. That works, in that I am constantly fooled about what time it actually is.
The rest of the clocks in my house are 10 to 30 minutes ahead. Doesn’t really work though, I’m always late no matter what.
What about you? Do you know what time it is and more important, do you care?
