ABC News confirms more details of the apparent White House meltdown after Donald Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate possible Trump 2020 election opponent Joe Biden.
According to the notes of the whistleblower who would soon file a formal complaint outlining Trump's actions, ABC News reports, a White House official was "visibly shaken" after the call, describing it as "crazy" and "frightening."
Which official? We don't know. And just who in Trump's orbit can listen to the man talk on a daily basis and still be "visibly shaken" by anything? We only know it isn't Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, currently doing his damnedest to block key witnesses from testifying to Congress.
But we do know a bit about what happened next. After hearing from at least one official that Trump's call raised legal concerns, White House lawyers moved to hide records of the call on a system intended for top-level classified materials.
