Donald Trump is facing a fresh batch of misconduct allegations. On Wednesday, Esquire published an exclusive excerpt from the forthcoming book All the President's Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator. Journalists Barry Levine and Monique El-Faizy use interviews from over 100 people to portray Trump’s history with women. As won’t surprise a single person, the stories largely portray Trump as a predator, in his political career, his real estate deals, and in his partying.
Esquire reports that the book includes 43 new allegations of “inappropriate behavior.” It specifies that 26 of those 43 involved unwanted sexual contact.
Before the emergence of the book, we already knew that two dozen women had accused Trump of sexual misconduct, ranging from groping to rape. Trump has denied all accusations and insulted numerous survivors who have come forward, brushing some off by saying they were “not his type.”
Esquire shares an excerpt from the book in which Karen Johnson alleges that while she was at a New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago in the early 2000s, Trump groped and kissed her after he materialized out of nowhere and pulled her behind a tapestry. “I was so scared because of who he was," Johnson said. "I don’t even know where it came from. I didn’t have a say in the matter.”
Given Trump’s own proclamation that “you can do anything” when you’re a “star,” including “grab them by the pussy,” this allegation seems right in line with his outlook. In fact, Johnson makes that connection herself in the Esquire excerpt. “When he says that thing, ‘Grab them in the pussy,’ that hits me hard because when he grabbed me and pulled me into the tapestry, that’s where he grabbed me—he grabbed me there in my front and pulled me in,” she says.
The book will be out Oct. 22.
