This is certainly interesting timing on Russian President Vladimir Putin's part. In an economic forum in Moscow Wednesday, Putin remarked that he's pleased that "political battles" in the United States have distracted from Russia's interference in the 2016 election.
"Thank God," he told the gathering, "no one is accusing us of interfering in the U.S. elections anymore; now they’re accusing Ukraine."
Yes, that is very handy for him, isn't it. It would sure be good to know if he and Donald Trump discussed just how convenient for everyone it would be if Trump could get Ukraine to take the blame for it all.
But that's pure speculation. Putin's trolling of the U.S., however, is very real.
