Thanks, Trump. In its ongoing efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act, the Trump administration has once again dramatically shortened the open enrollment period to just six weeks. That means for the 38 states that use the Healthcare.gov exchange site, there are only 40 days to get it done. (For the deadlines in other states, as always Charles Gaba/brainwrap has the details.)
Here's the news the Trump administration doesn't want to get around:
- 67% of http://HealthCare.gov customers can find plans for $10 or less per month
- In 10 states, at least 75% can find plans for $10 or less per month
- Nearly 9 in 10 qualify for financial assistance
That's where we come as, as always, as the grassroots resistance under Trump. We spread the word. Get Covered America's open enrollment toolkit provides all the information you need to help get people enrolled. And, as always, Healthcare.gov is the place to get it done.
