Roger Stone just can’t keep his mouth shut. After Judge Amy Berman Jackson issued a gag order in his case, a gag that applied to everyone involved, Stone just couldn’t help himself and shared a photo on Instagram of Jackson with crosshairs next to her head and a rant about the “deep state,” Benghazi, and all the usual right-wing garbage. The image quickly spread online, and Stone’s lawyers must’ve gotten him on the phone ASAP, because he took it down, and his lawyers took the unusual step of filing an apology to the court only hours later for the "improper photo and comment on Instagram."
This morning Jackson is responding to the filing of the apology, and she is NOT happy. From her latest court filing:
Docket Text
MINUTE ORDER as to ROGER J. STONE, JR., Defendant is ORDERED to show cause at a hearing to be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. as to why the media contact order entered in this case [36] and/or his conditions of release [21] should not be modified or revoked in light of the posts on his Instagram account on or about February 18, 2019. Signed by Judge Amy Berman Jackson on 2/19/19. (DMK)
Roger Stone is going to have to beg Jackson not to lock him up this Thursday, which she has every right to do. Thoughts and prayers, buddy.
