The Webster’s definition of “demand” is:
"to call for something in an authoritative way”, "to call for urgently, imperiously, or insistently “
Webster’s says synonyms for demand are:
“claim, require, command, insist, stipulate, challenge, require “
From their website:
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. Moms Demand Action campaigns for new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families.
So, my question of this group is why aren’t they endorsing Eric Coleman in the upcoming Special Election in TN? I think they are not demanding enough. (Don’t even get me started on their definition of “action”. ) One action these Moms “demand” is for folks to contact Congress about stricter laws regarding guns.
Well, yeah, that’s a great thing we could all be doing, but even better might be to elect politicians that support reasonable gun laws in the first place. It seems to me that Moms Demand Action should be endorsing every Democratic candidate in every race!
Eric Coleman’s Republican opponent, besides having a "“passion” for seeing “godly” men and women serve in government seats “.”” www.dailymemphian.com/… is also a Republican who is a:
strong defender of the Second Amendment, member of the NRA
So, who exactly is Moms Demand Action supporting in this election? (Feel free to contact and ask them.)
The Special Election for Eric Coleman in TN is coming up in 2 weeks and he has a lot of great endorsements, I am just befuddled that he doesn’t have one from this group and I can't seem to suss out a valid reason why this has been overlooked.
Maybe you could help by contacting the parent organization of Moms Demand Action -646.324.8250, or go directly to the TN chapter of Moms Demand Action or the National and see if you can make sense of their reasoning.
The groups below have already endorsed Eric!
