Donald Trump has a long record of touching and kissing women without their consent. During the 2016 campaign, sixteen women came forward with allegations of sexual harassment or sexual assault against Trump, women from throughout his life, from the 1970s to his time as a reality show host on NBC. Time and again, women described him inappropriately kissing them on the lips and touching them in a sexual manner, even though they’d never even met before!
Now Alva Johnson, a 2016 Trump campaign staffer, has filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump, claiming that she’s still suffering mental anguish after he allegedly shocked her with a full kiss on the lips at a 2016 rally in Florida. From the Washington Post:
In interviews with The Washington Post, and in the lawsuit, Alva Johnson said Trump grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss her on the lips as he exited an RV outside the rally in Tampa on Aug. 24, 2016. Johnson said she turned her head and the unwanted kiss landed on the side of her mouth, which she called “super-creepy and inappropriate.”
“I immediately felt violated because I wasn’t expecting it or wanting it,” she said. “I can still see his lips coming straight for my face.”
According to the lawsuit, Johnson told her boyfriend, mother, and stepfather about the incident that day. Sarah Sanders denied the allegations to the Washington Post, but this behavior is very much in line with other allegations made against Trump over the years. Rachel Crooks was a secretary for a business inside Trump Tower. She was waiting for the elevator in 2005 when Trump walked up to the elevator and shook her hand, kissed on the cheek, and then kissed her directly on the lips. She’d never even met him before. Can you imagine a stranger have the gall to walk up and kiss you on the lips? And that doesn’t even take into account the obvious power issues involved in a man whose name is on a New York City high-rise taking advantage of a low-level worker in the building.
Temple Taggart was a 21-year-old Miss Utah in 1997, competing in the Trump-owned Miss USA contest, where she claims Trump shocked her, kissing her directly on the lips. Miss Teen USA contestants say he regularly barged into the locker room while the girls were fully naked.
Kristen Anderson says she was at a nightclub in the 1990s when Trump sat down next to her and put his hand up her skirt and on her genitals.
Kristin Anderson was deep in conversation with acquaintances at a crowded Manhattan nightspot and did not notice the figure to her right on a red velvet couch — until, she recalls, his fingers slid under her miniskirt, moved up her inner thigh and touched her vagina through her underwear.
Anderson shoved the hand away, fled the couch and turned to take her first good look at the man who had touched her, she said.
She recognized him as Donald Trump: “He was so distinctive looking — with the hair and the eyebrows. I mean, nobody else has those eyebrows.”
Mindy McGillivray was working as a photographer’s assistant in 2003. She says she was working at an event at Mar-A-Lago when Trump inappropriately grabbed her behind, while Melania stood nearby.
These are only a handful of the stories out there. These are only the women brave enough to come forward to tell their stories. Trump himself was caught on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women. He’s on the record admitting to all of it. Who could forget hearing him talk to Billy Bush in that Access Hollywood recording?
“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women—I just start kissing them, it’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy."
Why is it that Donald Trump has not been held accountable for these actions?
