Michael Cohen testified Wednesday that Don Jr. and Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg signed one of the reimbursement checks he received for the $130,000 hush money payment he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Cohen presented one $35,000 check signed by Donald Trump and said it was one of 11 check installments paid to him throughout the year while Trump was president. “Other checks to reimburse me for the hush money payments were signed by Donald Trump Jr. and [attorney] Allen Weisselberg,” Cohen testified.
Cohen also said that Weisselberg, a Trump Organization veteran who has been cooperating with federal prosecutors, was privy to a conversation between Donald Trump and himself about the reimbursement scheme.
"[Trump] acknowledged to Allen that he was going to pay the $130,000,” Cohen said of an exchange between Trump and Weisselberg. Cohen then said he and Weisselberg went back to Weisselberg's office to figure out how to do it.
