In a Super Bowl Sunday interview on CBS's Face the Nation, the Russian asset in the White House said he's absolutely willing to shut the government down again over his border wall.
Host Margaret Brennan's first question out of the gate was "Would you shut down the government again?" His reply, "We're going to have to see what happens on February 15th … I don't take anything off the table. I don't like to take things off the table." It'll totally work this time, he says, because "on the 15th we have now set the table beautifully because everybody knows what's going on because of the shutdown."
By "what's going on" he apparently means all that trafficking in super fast cars going left and right in the desert with women bound with either blue tape or duct tape in the trunk and the drugs. All the drugs. Oh, and caravans. "People that didn't have any idea—they didn't have a clue as to what was happening, they now know exactly what's happening."
Also on Sunday, CBS news released a poll finding that 73 percent of Americans "want Mr. Trump to continue negotiating while keeping the government open, rather than demand wall funding if that forces a shutdown," including 50 percent of Republicans. Like he does with his dealmaking prowess, Trump is seriously overestimating his powers of persuasion.
