The wall is in fact going up — at least in parts of South Texas where its construction will destroy private property and sensitive environments dedicated to rare and endangered wildlife. Today may be the day the government seizes a butterfly reserve’s property: www.audubon.org/...
The USSC has decided 28 different laws make no difference. www.msn.com/…
The National Butterfly Center is a 100-acre refuge for butterflies and other pollinators just outside Mission, Texas.
The USSC decided that an appeals court ruling allowing the administration to ignore 28 federal laws, many designed to protect our environment, in order to build its wall should stand. Suits by the Animal Legal Defense fund and two other organizations fighting the wall have thus failed.
Bulldozers arrived yesterday. www.expressnews.com/…
The steel-and-concrete levee wall is expected to slice through the center, placing 70 of the sanctuary’s 100 acres of land south of it.
“I was sick,” said Lorri Burnett, a community organizer for Defenders of Wildlife, who first spotted the vehicle at the center
The liar in chief is expected to give a State of the Union address tomorrow championing his immoral, illegal taking of private property for his version of border security.
The wall will also feature tall steel bollards and bright lights kept on all night every night, according to some sources, which will further disrupt the environment here. The 70 acres of stolen land that will now be on the far side of the wall would, in a world where justice mattered, be the subject of a suit by the State of Texas to stop this madness. Instead, the so-called governing officials of Texas don’t even speak a word protesting this confiscation of private property, or cession of land to Mexico. The “wall” will be MILES from the Rio Grande, cutting through this refuge.
The Butterfly Center sits on a 100 acre property along the Rio Grande and the border wall will be built two miles from the river and along an existing levy, leaving 70 acres of the property in no man’s land.
"The loss of habitat is a significant issue especially in south Texas where less than 5 percent of our native habitat remains. The majority of that 5 percent remnant is behind the border wall or will be now behind the border wall."
Trevino-Wright adding the wall will cause a negative environmental impact.
"They will be bulldozing tens of thousands during spring nesting season which means probably the deaths of tens of thousands of migratory and native birds."

There’s bound to be an impact, probably negative, on the area’s tourism industry.
Not to mention the likelihood, now, that this KavaNOJUSTICE court will also rule in favor of destroying Bentsen-Rio Grande State Park, La Lomita Mission Historical District, and a good portion of the rest of the Lower Rio Grande Valley for a useless, immoral, stupid ego-boo project of the GOP’s. Not just Drumpf. The entire party is to blame for this stupidity, from the head of the RNC to the average Trump voter.
No regard for the environment, history, or freedom of religion. No respect for the Constitution at the most basic level.
The problem is they’re going to force the rest of us into the hellhole they want to make of this nation too.
