Former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi was on MSNBC’s Deadline White House with host Nicolle Wallace today to discuss acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker’s appearance before the House Judiciary Committee. Figliuzzi was pretty serious in his analysis of Whitaker’s demeanor today, saying, “I am not kidding when I say I have interviewed terrorists who were more cooperative and respectful than Matt Whitaker was today.”
Figliuzzi went on to say that it behooves the acting attorney general of the United States of America to be respectful of the oversight that Congress is required to provide by the laws of our land. Subsequently, Wallace mentioned that AG Whitaker was rumored to have prepared quite a bit for this hearing, but the audience he was preparing for was likely Donald Trump. Figliuzzi agreed but also pointed out that anyone with the kind of criminally fraudulent record that Matthew Whitaker has should run away from any positions in this administration, since every person working there is seemingly under federal investigation.
