Above: President Donald Trump attacked Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California as speaking to supporters in Michigan yesterday, and called the chair of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence a "little pencil-neck." Really? The jowly fat man wishes he had a neck himself, let alone a waistline.
He said:
"Little pencil-necked Adam Schiff. He's got the smallest, thinnest neck I've ever seen. He is not a long-ball hitter."
This is the president of the United States who also used the word bullshit in the same rally. “The Democrats now have to decide if they will continue to defraud the American public with this ridiculous bullshit.” So much for parents trying to get their children not to use profanity.
Japanese martial arts master Takeda Sokaku said "The secret of aikido is to overpower the opponent mentally at a glance and to win without fighting." Aikido is often translated as "the way of unifying with life energy" or as "the way of harmonious spirit".
Ancient saying: don't celebrate your "victories" around a bonfire on thin ice,
and until the final aria is sung.
From yesterday:
Vice President Pence: "It is the stated policy of this administration and the United States of America to return American astronauts to the Moon within the next five years.”
This is a timeframe that would assure that President Trump can take credit for the accomplishment if he’s reelected.
“In order to accomplish this, NASA must transform itself into a leaner, more accountable and more agile organization.”
I assume this would mean not allowing NASA to study matters that actually matter, like climate change.
