No, this is not a purity test. This is a did-you-or-did-you-not-speak-up-when-they-came-for-the-Muslims test.
This cuts right to the heart of democracy, of freedom, of equality — of every American ideal.
This isn’t about whether you agree or disagree with Rep. Ilhan Omar’s statements, or language, or positions. All she did was say things. It’s about whether a president has the right to incite violence against a member of Congress. Any member of Congress, no matter what their positions, statements or religion.
Any person at all, no matter what their positions, statements or religion.
I’ll fill in as I get the news. Corrections welcome—if your fave isn’t on the list and has spoken up, let me know in the comments. I’ve corrected several times now due to commenters doing so.

UPDATE: [h/t to DiesIrae]:
Cory Booker: [h/t to elenacarlena and Kerry Conservative]
Do they have to tweet? Cory Booker was on Face the Nation (CBS) and said about *rump’s tweet:
That is so objectionable. That is so offensive. And- and- and this is what I mean about moral vandalism in our country that's going on from the highest offices stoking hatred, stoking fears, pitting people against each other….
What she is experiencing right now, she does not deserve -- from what she said in her speech -- she does not deserve the kind of vicious, hate-filled attacks that she's experiencing….
We all as Americans should say that's outrageous and unacceptable and what Donald Trump is doing, he's making life dangerous not just for her but for other Muslim Americans.

Um… this tweet could be a lot better written.
If your fave is on the list and hasn’t spoken up, contact her/him! I tweeted Kamala Harris and referred her to this diary at about 1:30 EDT on April 13, and her tweet denouncing T***p’s video showed up at 2:08. Maybe it would have anyway… but maybe not. It can’t hurt!

Commenters have pointed out already that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has spoken up, viz:
...but that she should do more.
I agree. A Representative of the House has been endangered. Pelosi needs to whip the votes to censure T***p. Call it a shot across the impeachment bow.
UPDATE: full statement by Nancy Pelosi [h/t to Blue Colorado. See their comment containing in full their letter to their rep, demanding further action. You could do same!].
The memory of 9/11 is sacred ground, and any discussion of it must be done with reverence. The President shouldn’t use the painful images of 9/11 for a political attack. As we visit our troops in Stuttgart to thank them and be briefed by them, we honor our first responsibility as leaders to protect and defend the American people. It is wrong for the President, as Commander-in-Chief, to fan the flames to make anyone less safe.
