“...when Sessions told the president that a special counsel had been appointed, the president slumped back in his chair and said: ‘Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I'm fucked.’” (p.290)
There sure are a lot of folks downloading the redacted Mueller Report.
Upon first reading, the redactions are relatively light, and aside from the Barr spin about POTUS* “frustration”, the Mueller report does provide greater clarity for Congressional investigation. Ultimately it shows how all the attempts at spin were desperate, including today’s AG presser.
There are some fascinating items including a description of Individual-1’s holding on to Jeff Sessions’s resignation letter as a “shock collar” as well as some items of “personal privacy” that perhaps are more about “expletive deleted” items.
What is a “Personal Privacy” redaction in such a government document. Whose personal privacy? Some items like Corey Lewandowski’s submitted materials might have more embarrassing contents.
