Eric Coleman, a great candidate here in TN, is being audited by state election authorities. He is actually quite tickled by the audit. The audit was triggered by an “unusual” amount of small dollar, out of state donations to Eric’s campaign. Ha! They only think they are unusual because they don’t know us, the users here at Daily Kos.
They don’t know that when we get behind a candidate we can raise thousands of dollars, send thousands of postcards, and make thousands of phone calls. We register voters and get out the vote.
It’s not the first time we’ve done it and it won’t be the last. We did it here for Cheryl Turpin. If you read that link you’ll see how many phone calls and how much sputtering our donations caused that time.
Turpin for Delegate - Cheryl — campaign donations 2017
Count Receipt Type of Receipt 19851 $205,860 Cash contributions of $100 or less
www.vpap.org/...
What that means is the 19,851 people donated less than $100 to Cheryl Turpin’s campaign for a total of $205,860. Wanna guess how many of those were made by Daily Kos users? I’m guessing betting a lot!
Why not keep it up? Keep the “powers that be” triggered. There are two races in Virginia this November (2019), that are important for us to win. Those are the seats held by the top two Republicans, the Senate Majority Leader and the Speaker of the House.
Two great Democratic candidates are running in those districts. Let’s flood them with small donations from all over the country. I like it when the other side is busy auditing and phone calling their outrage and frustration. It means it’s working!
