Severe thunderstorms will drench and flood parts of Oklahoma Tuesday, following on the heels of a series of tornadoes that touched down in that state and others.
At least 19 tornadoes swept through central Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas Monday, carrying warnings of "considerable" damage to homes, businesses and vehicles with the possibility of "complete destruction."
A great white shark that was tagged last year off Nova Scotia was detected in Long Island Sound on Monday just days after being spotted off the North Carolina coast. An organization that electronically tracks ocean life announced on Twitter that it was tracking the nearly 10-foot long great white in the sound "for the first time ever."
