I would like everybody to comment and I would like Kos himself, because he knows about data and statistics, to answer to this dairy and this question:
You see in Civiqs that Trump approvals ratings remain steady, you know Trump keeps praising his success with the economy, you know the congress does not want to impeach because of those Trump approval ratings, and finally you know that Trump has now appointed the most lawless Trump loyalists to different government position, loyalists who will defy any law to do as they please or to please their boss no matter the consequences, then how can you trust the economic numbers reported by this administration?
Should the congress not investigate the data and the statistics used to report those numbers?
If the reason we are not impeaching is that “the country” does not support it, then the next question is why? Why are Americans not supporting impeachment in the light of a quite probable Russian interference cover-up and other criminal activities that are treasonous to the fabric of this country?
Because “it’s the economy stupid”. See en.wikipedia.org/… (Yes, racism too, but first… it’s the economy)
At this point however, there should be no doubt, that we cannot trust those economic numbers. Why not?
Just look at the facts. Look at the levels of criminal behavior and defiance by Trump loyalists in the various US departments that they are running, the HUD chief clown Ben Carsons, the education-ignorant billionaire lady (she does not deserve to be called by name) who runs the education department, Rick Perry at the department of energy, Andrew Wheeler, a former coal industry lobbyist, heading the EPA, but what is worse… the Trump loyalist running the Treasury and the IRS, Mnuchin and Co. Their defiance of the law is appalling. They are risking jail time and risking it without any scruple and in plain sight.
So what makes anyone, knowing the pattern of behavior of anyone working with Trump, assume we can trust the economic numbers which are crunched in the dark light of some server rooms that only a few people have access to?
Finally, I get it that we need evidence, but aren’t we Democrats always too late with asking for evidence? Had we asked for Trumps’ tax returns earlier, before he rushed to appoint Michael J. Desmond to the position of IRS Counsel, we might have gotten them.
