Before you go on to the signs, click here and scroll through these signs I put up around Washington DC in May. And think of what a shame it is that that’s the exception, not the rule, and probably not going to happen again until either I go back there again or things’ve gotten so bad people are putting up signs saying “Stay out of the boxcars — it’s a trick!”
One of the unintended consequences of going to DC is that putting up signs here on the west coast doesn’t feel as vital as it did before. Republican politicians need to see signs that say “Remember Helsinki.” They need to be shown that they don’t get to have help from our enemies without at least having their goddam noses rubbed in it a bit, right? Because this is the Land of Free Speech, right?
Any signmaker and almost any artist should know how easy these things are to make. Even non-sign-maker/non-artists could figure it out. Just a matter of finding one in the DC area that thinks it’s worthwhile.
